On 24th March 2018, with the funding support from Austrian Development Agency (ADA), DPAB started training on high quality healing therapy and massage training (SPA) for ten youth with disabilities at Norbu Healing Arts Centre. This is the 4th SPA batch of DPAB.
After the completion of their training, the participants are expected either to seek employment in resorts/hotels or start their own SPA business and they are to be certified as professional SPA therapists. It was part of the Association’s efforts to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities by equipping them with relevant skills.
DPAB initiated SPA Therapy training for persons with disabilities at Aman Kora hotel supported by Bhutan Foundation since from 2014. The primary objective of initiating such a program was to help persons with disabilities in developing their relevant professional skills so that they can get a decent job and live an independent life.
